If you’ve always wanted to give camping, kayaking, and maybe fishing a try, then consider attending the Women’s Outdoor Weekend at Caloosahatchee Regional Park March 16 – 18, 2012, near Fort Myers, Florida. Local outdoors-women will be helping out and showing ladies a variety of outdoor activities including a hayride, wood burning, archery, camp cooking, basket making and stargazing.
I imagine after participating in this women’s outdoor weekend, you’ll be prepared to compete on Survivor! I personally have not participated in one of these weekends but from what I understand, they’re a blast and educational.
Caloosahatchee Regional Park is the Perfect Location!
This Lee County park is located about 20 minutes northeast of downtown Fort Myers and features 768 acres of outdoor wilderness. Environments found are pine flatwoods, scrub oak, cypress swamps and oak hammocks. Hike or mountain bike some of the 18 miles of trails and primitive camp sites ideal for families and groups are offered. Travel with a horse? The trails are equestrian friendly and primitive camping sites are available for campers with horses. Fishing and kayaking is bountiful in the Caloosahatchee River. Fee: $65 per person, includes all Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast as well as craft supplies, instructors and entertainment.
