Ooh, la, la! Just after Valentine’s Day the J’adore VoxBox from Influenster arrived in an over-sized pink box. A VoxBox is filled with complimentary products for trendsetters and social media influencers to sample and share their impressions. Each box is themed and this one contained Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask, HERSHEY KISSES Milk Chocolate, John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray, Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes and Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas.
Ohmygoodness! This VoxBox was deliciously fab and below are summaries of each item…
Review of Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask

At first squeeze I was a little nervous about Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask because it was a bit watery and wondered how the heck would it be substantial enough to stick to my face and do anything of substance. The packaging of the clay is a bit like a bottle of ketchup, be patient and following the watery flow comes the thick gooey stuff. In addition to being a lot of fun, the mask sucked up my skin’s oily pockets and changed the texture for the better.
Verdict: Playing with mud, err, clay, is good for the body and soul. Will be adding this to my weekly facial routine.
Review of HERSHEY KISSES Milk Chocolate

Yes. I was given HERSHEY KISSES Milk Chocolate to sample. Not just a couple, I was sent the family-sized bag in which the sweet little gems of chocolate were wrapped in either red, pink or silver foil. Everything is good in moderation and these tasty gems were the perfect after work pick me up. They also served as the perfect welcome to a friend who spent the night in the guest bedroom.
Back in the day, I used to pack HERSHEY KISSES in my suitcase when making sales calls in and around London. They weren’t available there and it was a big hit! Did I ever tell you the time when I was a kid and wrote a play and song about discovering a HERSHEY KISSES mine? The song began with, “Listen to the rhythm of the HERSHEY KISSES…” Major digression!
Verdict: Oh, HERSHEY, how I love you. I grew up with you and when selecting chocolate, I’ll give you a consideration. But right now, I need to stick to dark chocolate. We can’t be friends right now but later down the road.
Review of John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray

Angels are singing somewhere because John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray has been able to do what other products attempted but failed. It tamed my angry (aka: frizzy) hair. The concept is to apply it in your hair, flat iron it then let it stay for three days but going a day without washing my hair gives me the heebeegeebees. I didn’t give it the three-day test but holding at least 8 hours was enough for me.
Verdict: Mr. John Frieda, hope you’re ready for me because we’re going to become better friends.
Review of Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes

Without batting an eye (last) I really wanted to love Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes because I want to be hip, now and wow. And long lashes are in. Unfortunately, I’m just not coordinated enough to properly apply false lashes. The applicator was like a little tube, not a brush as pictured in the included instructions. After applying and waiting 30 seconds I applied an eyelash but also glued my bottom eyelid to it. I couldn’t position the lash on my top eyelid properly and after 15 minutes of fighting it, I conceded.
Verdict: That was battle number one and the war isn’t over. Will give the lashes another try – just need the right occasion to do so.
Review of Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas

The old me used to think teas should only come in a few flavors and I think it’s because several years ago there was a gourmet tea movement that simply sucked. Included in my VoxBox were tea bags of Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas in flavors of Lemon Chiffon and Creme Caramel. I was a bit hesitant to try but when I took a tea break, I felt a little indulgent over something so simple.
Verdict: It’s tea time! I don’t drink enough tea and since I’m weaning myself off soda, Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas could be a solution.
See? The J’adore VoxBox was pretty fabulous. Have you tried any of these products? What’s your take?
Disclosure: I’ve received these items complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I am not receiving any compensation to review it and opinions are my own.
