From A to Z, what are the characteristics of a solo travel girl? This footloose female is a xenodocheionologist, xenial and xenophilic!
Hang on, these “X” words are a mouthful…
Xenodocheionologist – Having a passion for travel means having a love of hotels which makes the STG a xenodocheionologist. She’s just as comfortable in hotels with familiar names or those independently owned as she is when staying with friends and family. [The origin is Greek from the words “xenos” which means guest or stranger and “dechesthai” which means to accept, to receive.]
Xenial – As much as she enjoys being a wanderer, she’s always willing to reciprocate by hosting others in her home. She extends the same hospitality and kindness strangers across the globe have shown her. [The origin is Greek from the word “xenia” which is the concept of showing those far from home courtesy and hospitality.]
Xenophilic – Her curiosity to learn about other cultures and customs drives her desire to travel making her xenophilic.
Are you a solo travel girl? What other qualities beginning with the letter “X” can be attributed to a solo travel girl?

Try saying Xenodocheionologist 5 times fast. I don’t think travel always has to involve loving hotels, although hotels can be a part of travel. Some of my best travel experiences were homestays. Although a nice hotel bed is great (as long as there’s no bed bugs!).
