Single Gal in the City’s Dating Blitz

Blogger Melissa Braverman is like a real Carrie Bradshow (Sex in the City). She’s a single gal living and dating in New York City and blogging about at Single Gal in the City. But, for the next few weeks, she’s traveling across the country on an 8-week, eight-city journey to explore single life in cities other than New York.

She’s planning on going on at least three dates in each destination and speaking with various bachelorettes to get an insider’s perspective of single life in their respective cities. Her adventure began March 1 and she’s already visited Cleveland, Ohio, and Atlanta. Kansas City, Houston, Denver and Portland, Ore., are next on her blitz. As for her eighth city, readers can cast their vote in a survey as to where Melissa should wrap up her great American dating blitz.

Melissa welcomes bachelorettes living in the cities she’s visiting to share input of single life in their city by dropping her a line through her Single Gal in the City blog.

And, be sure to check out her YouTube video for more deets.

Jennifer A. Huber is an award-winning travel and outdoor blogger and writer in Southwest Florida. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., a hiking trail led her to a career path in the tourism industry for more than 30 years. She spent a decade with a park management company in Yellowstone, Death Valley, and Everglades National Parks. She founded the travel blog, SoloTravelGirl.com with the goal of inspiring others to travel alone, not lonely. The unexpected death of her former husband in 2008 reminded her how short life is. His passing was a catalyst for sharing her experiences with the goal of inspiring and empowering others to travel solo. Jennifer holds a Travel Marketing Professional certification from the Southeast Tourism Society, is a certified food judge, member of the NASA Social community, and alum of the FBI Citizens Academy. When not traveling, she is either in the kitchen, practicing her photography skills, or road tripping with her dog, Radcliff.
