Gobble, gobble! Turkey Day is around the corner and when I saw a Thanksgiving Omelet on the menu at John Ski’s House of Breakfast and Lunch, I KNEW it needed to get in my belly.

And so it did.

It’s no secret I enjoy good food whether from a five star restaurant or local greasy spoon and when I needed to choose a meeting spot for a business lunch in Punta Gorda, Fla., John Ski’s seemed perfect for its location, being open on a Monday, and something for vegetarians to carnivores.

So what’s in the Thanksgiving Omelet? Three eggs, sliced turkey, sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry Hollandaise sauce, and bacon bits. I ordered it with crispy home fries.

Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.

This tasty dish is only available for a limited time but if you find yourself with Thanksgiving leftovers, you can easily create your own Thanksgiving Omelet.

John Ski’s isn’t fancy but the food is delicious and service during my visits has always been friendly. They welcome you as if you’re an old friend.  Breakfast is served throughout lunch and my usual go-to meal is an eggs Benedict with seafood. Yum!

Happy Thanksgiving and when you find yourself in Punta Gorda or Port Charlotte, check out John Ski’s.
