My word for 2021 is “self-love.” One of the things 2020 taught me was although I am strong, I am not invincible. Like many of you, I discovered vulnerabilities and found ways to either cope or strengthen my weaknesses, one of those being putting myself first and that means self-love.
My Word for 2021: Self-Love
Even though I’m single without a husband/partner/significant other or children (except ones with fur and four legs), I’m guilty of putting other people and other interests ahead of my own needs. Last year taught me to slow down, build inner strength, and put myself first so I can be a better person for society. Part of that is doing big and small things for me.
Something big is a trip or investing in a luxury photo shoot (post coming soon!). Small is finding a musical bear for less than 10 bucks that makes me smile or indulging in delicious foods. BTW, that’s the “Top Gun Musical Teddy Bear” which plays “Danger Zone” at Walmart for $7! You can find it on Amazon but it’s a bit more than what I paid.
