Health & Beauty Review: Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel
Do I love it? Do I not? That’s the question I’m still trying to answer about Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel I received last month from Influenster in my Spring VoxBox. It does what it says it promises to do: offer ultra strong style control all day long, dries with a firm strong finish and has lasting definition.

Why Are Women So Mean to Each Other?
My question is rhetorical and doubt in my lifetime it’ll change but I just don’t get why women are so mean to each other. I grew up a tomboy. The only girls I had to play with in my neighborhood were my sisters who were a bit younger. Neighborhood kids my age were boys, all four of them plus my brother, and it seemed I always related to boys. I understood them up until our teen years then they morphed into creatures I still don’t understand.

Be prepared, I’m going to get personal. Driving to the office one morning a couple of weeks ago something seemed off with my air conditioning. It may have rained on Nik Wallenda’s parade but it didn’t dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of supporters who came out to welcome the daredevil home to Sarasota, Fla., following last month’s high wire walk across the Grand Canyon.

They Came, They Swam, They Bobbled Across the Peace River for Charlotte Harbor Freedom Swim
“Swim along the bridge!” Michael P. Haymans, co-founder of the Charlotte Harbor Freedom Swim yelled out from the Gilchrist Bridge to patriotic swimmers in the Peace River. There was supposed to be a talk to swimmers somewhere around Noon before the start of the swim. As Michael explained, his uncle blew the bullhorn to get everyone’s attention to listen to instructions but a few thought it was the start of the swim and so they were off.

My fascination with the space shuttle program came full circle over the weekend – kind of – with the opening of Space Shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Walking into the exhibit area seeing the final space shuttle to fly in space was a bit overwhelming and I felt like a galactic rock star. I literally had chills seeing it after watching two brief movies building up the excitement and anxiety. It was definitely one of those “Tah-dah!” followed by “Ooooh!” moments.

As a single woman who’s trekked off to some groovy places around the globe, I sometimes think I’m invincible. Lately, I’ve come to accept no man or woman is an island and I simply can’t rely on myself to muddle through life. Last year when my sweet Mickey went off to the Rainbow Bridge, it began hitting home how alone I am.
