Wearing boot-cut blue jeans, a pair of Vans, a two-toned blue Rays jersey, dark shades and donning what some called auburn-colored hair at today’s pre-spring training press conference at the Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Fla., there’s no doubt Tampa Bay Rays’ Manager Joe Maddon has some serious style. I’m no expert in fashion or baseball but over the past four years during Tampa Bay Rays Spring Training I’ve observed Mr. Maddon’s constantly evolving look.

During last year’s pre-spring training press conference he rocked snow-white, spiky hair with white shades (see photo above). At today’s event, one of the reporters asked if he was committed to his current hair color.

“What color is it?” Maddon asked.

“Auburn?” the reporter replied after slight hesitation.

After agreeing it was not a rust color (that was last season), Maddon was asked if he needs to check with his wife before making a color change. He replied he does, “whatever Shelby says, I do.”

Shelby is his hairstylist and according to Maddon she’s “very cool chick.”

Apparently Shelby has plans for Maddon’s next hairstyle as he said, “I think it may change over the course of the next month.”

So what do you think? Do you like Joe Maddon’s style?
