So this is What a Lake Erie Beach in New York State Looks Like

Lake Erie Beach in Westfield, N.Y.

I spent the weekend in Western New York and Western Pennsylvania with family attending a wedding of a childhood friend. On the journey back today we took the scenic route along New York State Route 5 (NY 5) and we were on the lookout for the Barcelona Lighthouse.

We didn’t find it but stopped in Westfield (maybe we stopped in Barcelona) to walk out to the beach. This is a quick video to show you a bit of the Lake Erie surf and beach material. It’s much different than the beaches in Florida but pretty cool.

Enjoy!

  1. I grew up in Butler, PA – just South of Lake Erie on the PA side. This pic brings back old (very old) memories! Thanks for posting…

  2. Thanks for dropping by, Nancy. Glad the image brought back memories – wish I had more time to explore the area. I grew up in Buffalo but we didn’t spend much time in that part of the state or Western PA.
