Unforgettable Mother’s Day Gift
Regular readers will remember the “Backhoe Bowling and More with ‘People At Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience’ Near Sarasota, Fla.,” post where I shared Carol E.’s experience at this unique adult playground. For her 73rd birthday, her family surprised her with an afternoon at the park where she fulfilled a dreaming of moving dirt with heavy construction equipment.

My favorite part of the day was watching her play backhoe bowling! Yes, she used the arm of a backhoe to whip it around, hit a bowling bowl and crash into some bowling pins. Great fun indeed!

People at Play offers the “One Tough Mother Package” gift certificate which entitles Mom to play in the dirt at People at Play’s job site with a either a yellow bulldozer or excavator, instruction on how to use the equipment , a pink and white “Got Dirt?” t-shirt ad 5×7 family photo in front of the equipment and dirt. The package is $269 plus tax.

Advance reservations to redeem the “One Tough Mother Package” are required. Call (941) 756-0886 for additional information, to purchase a gift certification and secure your time to play in the dirt!

What would your mom want for Mother’s Day? If you’re a mom, what’s the best gift you’ve ever received for Mother’s Day?

  1. Visiting from the A-Z today. I have a bit of a travel theme happening on my blog in the challenge too. I’m writing about a recent trip to Shanghai-Taipei-and Hong Kong. I love to travel…we’re Americans but spent 6+ years living in the UK and we miss it. Once the door to the world is opened its tough to get it closed.

I’m going to look around. Good luck with the challenge!

  2. Why does it have to be tough mother ?????
Could it be tough women … *smile Or why do we have to proven our self and others that we can do everything a man can do ???
Would be very upset if my kids, if I had any .. gave me this gift. *smile
