Health & Beauty Review: Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel

Do I Love It? Do I Not? Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel
Do I Love It? Do I Not? Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel

Do I love it? Do I not? That’s the question I’m still trying to answer about Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel I received last month from Influenster in my Spring VoxBox. It does what it says it promises to do: offer ultra strong style control all day long, dries with a firm strong finish and has lasting definition.
And yeah, it sure does have lasting definition. I’ve been really impressed how it’s been able to tame my angry hair, especially in this Florida humidity. Being able to tame wild hair especially while traveling and washing hair in different water and using whatever shampoo the hotel has is pretty important to me.

According to Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ , this gel contains “resins normally used in finishing sprays provide lasting, strong and moldable hold” and they recommend applying “a small amount into damp hair and style as desired, or work into dry hair for additional separation.” It’s given a control level of 4 with ultra strong control. The bottle is 5.07 fl.oz.

Okay, this isn't the best selfie, but this is 14 hours getting ready for the day. My hair is relatively tame during a Florida July day.

My hair is medium in length and finally found a routine to use this hair product that works well. After popping out of the shower I spritz on leave-in conditioner then finger-comb a pea-size amount of CHI Silk Infusion followed by finger-combing a pea-size of Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic through my wet hair. Trust me, this stuff is strong so you only need a little amount. I prefer to air dry but that’s very professional for the office so I just blow dry without using a brush or comb and I like the way my hair stays where I want it to.

Pros: It’s not sticky like other hair gels and when it dries it’s not glossy and doesn’t leave my hair feeling like plastic. It also has a light scent.

Cons: Leaves my hair feeling dry. For the month or so I’ve been using Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic I don’t believe it’s damaged my hair by drying it out because on days I didn’t use it my hair felt soft.

Writing this post helped me determine that I do like Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic because it hasn’t done what I’ve expected other gels to do.

Have you tried Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ products? Do you have a favorite?

Disclosure: I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster and opinions about this produce are my own. Read what others are saying about Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic by visiting the product page on Influenster.
