What makes a solo travel girl? Yes, she’s someone who’s travels alone, not lonely but she’s also adventurous, magnificent and zealous, just to name a few qualities.
In May of this year it will be four years since this blog launched. In a series of upcoming daily posts, from awesome to zesty, I’ll finally share my perspective of the characteristics making a solo travel girl.
This series kicks off Monday, April 1 as part of the 2013 Blogging from A to Z Challenge. I’ll join more than 1,500 other blogs (some bloggers have multiple blogs) in posting daily during the month, with the exception of Sundays. Each post will represent a different letter of the alphabet and will reveal the essence of a solo travel girl.
Thank you in advance for following along and feel free to share qualities you think a solo travel girl should have.
Jennifer A. Huber is an award-winning travel and outdoor blogger and writer in Southwest Florida. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., a hiking trail led her to a career path in the tourism industry for more than 30 years. She spent a decade with a park management company in Yellowstone, Death Valley, and Everglades National Parks. She founded the travel blog, SoloTravelGirl.com with the goal of inspiring others to travel alone, not lonely.
The unexpected death of her former husband in 2008 reminded her how short life is. His passing was a catalyst for sharing her experiences with the goal of inspiring and empowering others to travel solo.
Jennifer holds a Travel Marketing Professional certification from the Southeast Tourism Society, is a certified food judge, member of the NASA Social community, and alum of the FBI Citizens Academy. When not traveling, she is either in the kitchen, practicing her photography skills, or road tripping with her dog, Radcliff.

Howdy! Looking forward to reading your A to Z posts for the challenge!
Good Luck! That’s a ton of writing.
Nice meeting you! Looking forward to your posts, too!
I know, it’s a great exercise in discipline. I have some friends writing for multiple blogs – that’s already making me tired thinking about all that writing.
Driving through Western Pennsylvania’s rolling farmland, I held back tears thinking of the afternoon’s destination, the Flight 93 National Memorial. Almost 20 years later, the thoughts of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, still trigger deep emotions.

I don’t think I could post every day. Hell, I’m lucky if I get into the gym 2 days a week. Hope you do well through the month.
Hello! I’m looking forward to your movie-themed posts during A to Z!
Oh, you can do it. C’mon, I know you want to!
