I don’t say this lightly but my Airbnb in Berlin, Germany, was eclectic and awesome! This was my first Airbnb experience (and you’ll hear more about that in another post) and I’m thrilled to report it was a positive one.

The location was fantastic in that it was about a 5-minute walk to the subway station (that’s another post, too) and in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of dining options and grocery and produce stores to keep me nourished.

The Airbnb apartment I stayed was in a gated apartment complex, contained a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom and living room area, almost like a studio. In addition to location and quietness, the artwork was intriguing and eclectic. The video I shot (coming soon!) does not do it justice!

One of the most unique pieces were the floor lamps. Look at the fringe (above and below). What do they look like to you?

Ooooh! That's what the lampshade is made from!

  1. Hello Lynn!

I was definitely skeptical but this experience was wonderful – although, the first one I booked was cancelled by Airbnb and I had to find a new place to stay! That’s a whole other story 🙂

Visiting the Flight 93 National Memorial with My Dog

Driving through Western Pennsylvania’s rolling farmland, I held back tears thinking of the afternoon’s destination, the Flight 93 National Memorial. Almost 20 years later, the thoughts of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, still trigger deep emotions.
