Dear Fellow Citizens of the United States of America:

Today is Independence Day.

America’s birthday.

And I challenge you…

Let’s not be liberals or conservatives.

Let’s not celebrate the failures of others.

Let’s not encourage hatred.

Let’s be civil.

Let’s stop the name calling.

Let’s stop the eye-for-an-eye cycle.

Because, how does else can America be great?

Let’s remember how we’re fortunate to live in the greatest nation in the world.

Let’s remember the sacrifices it took to get here.

Let’s remember we’re all in this together.

Let’s remember, it’s not our political party affiliation that determines whether we’re American or not.

It’s the love of nation that does.

Let’s remember, we’re all Americans.

Let’s put country over party.

Let’s show respect to our fellow Americans and the rest of the worlds’ citizens.

Let’s celebrate what it means to be a citizen of the United States of America. ??

And if you can do it today, how about carrying it forward another day?

Love,

STG
