It’s true what they say about time passing quickly as we age. I’m not sure how I got to be old. I mean, I’m turning 40 in little more than a month. How’d that happen? Closer to home, it’s coming up on this blog’s first anniversary! Not sure what I’ll be doing for the blog to mark the occasion but will think of something.
I haven’t accomplished all I’ve wanted with this blog but I’m getting there. Earlier this year I was named one of the “101 Women Bloggers to Watch in 2010” by WE Magazine for Women, joined the Clever 1000, (you can join too!) and now I’m Raveable!
In a nutshell, Raveable.com is a user-generated review site for travel and this blog will now feed into it. Perhaps this will encourage me to step up my game to upload the posts sitting in my brain.
That’s all. Oh. Have I told you thank you for reading? Thank you!
Jennifer A. Huber is an award-winning travel and outdoor blogger and writer in Southwest Florida. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., a hiking trail led her to a career path in the tourism industry for more than 30 years. She spent a decade with a park management company in Yellowstone, Death Valley, and Everglades National Parks. She founded the travel blog, SoloTravelGirl.com with the goal of inspiring others to travel alone, not lonely.
The unexpected death of her former husband in 2008 reminded her how short life is. His passing was a catalyst for sharing her experiences with the goal of inspiring and empowering others to travel solo.
Jennifer holds a Travel Marketing Professional certification from the Southeast Tourism Society, is a certified food judge, member of the NASA Social community, and alum of the FBI Citizens Academy. When not traveling, she is either in the kitchen, practicing her photography skills, or road tripping with her dog, Radcliff.
Congratulations on being part of the Raveable family and of course for being listed in the 100 Women Bloggers to watch for 2010 on WE Magazine for Women.
Have a fantastic week… and then some,
Heidi Richards Mooney, Publisher & Editor in Chief
WE Magazine for Women and author “Quirky Marketing Calendar”
Thank you! I’m humbled and honored to be included on your list 🙂
