Having no desire to take a cruise, over the years I have been slowly warming to the idea especially since I haven’t met anyone who has had a bad experience. My friends at P&O Cruises, the leading cruise line for Australia and New Zealand, have asked me to share information about the company and the cruise holiday packages in exchange for supporting my traveling habit.
I was excited to learn about P&O Cruises especially seeing the company offers cruises which make a port of call at Darwin. During the Travel Blog Exchange conference in New York last month, Northern Territory, Australia, known as Australia’s Outback, hosted a lunch where I learned more about this incredible part of the world by the tourism people and a first-person account by Gadling’s Mike Barish.

He painted the picture of an almost magical destination almost opposite of what’s found in the United States. He described Darwin as a fusion of Aboriginal, Asian and Western cultures with urban amenities and comforts as world-calls dining and galleries with indigenous art. Barish discussed about the outback of the Northern Territory, a place I didn’t think existed any more but it does, especially when he spoke about the Aboriginal people.
Other Australian ports P&O Cruises visit include Kimberley Coast, Melbourne and Sydney, just to name a few. And then there’s New Zealand, the Land of Oz.
The world is a big place and time precious. When considering a cruise along Australia’s coastline or neighboring New Zealand, check out the cruise holiday packages P&O Cruises offers.
