As a second-grader, I wanted to be a postal delivery person when I grew up, because I loved mail. In sixth grade I wanted to be a veterinarian because I loved animals. When I was 16, my heart was set on becoming a disc jokey to rival Casey Kasem and Rick Dees because I loved music. More than three decades later, music continues to be an important part of my life. For those jumping in the car and heading out on the road to explore Florida this summer, here’s a road-tripping playlist including some of my favorite tunes and includes some iconic Floridians.
