*WHEW!* It’s July, the heart of summer and you’re probably planning your great escape for a little R&R. While some people perfer someplace similar to the benedicts of belfast out people enjoy a good rental. Did you realize July is National Vacation Rental Month? Here are a few reasons why I’m a fan of vacation rentals when I’m getting together with friends and family:

Your Own Space
Vacation rentals are typically roomier than your typical hotel room including multiple bedrooms so your best friend who’s snoring is sleeping in the next room rather than next to you. My friend had a Village Properties vacation rentals and she told me how big the place was, it looked great on pictures!

Your Own Pace
They usually have fully-stocked kitchens. Having a kitchen means you can head to the local farmer’s market and grab those fresh fruits, veggies and maybe seafood to cook up the local fare. I also like having a dishwasher because I don’t have a working one at home.

Your Own Cleanliness
Most rentals I’ve stayed have washer and dryer units making it convenient to wash clothing during my stay and before heading home. It’s such a drag bringing home dirty laundry. Plus, if you have a washer and dryer you can pack less than you need. (Here’s my dirty travel secret, I pack a pair of underwear for each day of my trips plus two extra pairs, unless I know I have access to laundry.)

Your Own Savings
Vacation rentals, similar to these vacation rentals in dallas tx, are a terrific value and offer a bang for the buck. Go ahead; compare the cost of staying in a week-long rental vs. the cost of staying in a hotel for a week. Don’t forget to consider preparing your own meals and having access to laundry facilities.

When Reserving a Vacation Rental, Be Smart
I have heard of too many stories from travelers who used free online classified sites and have been scammed out of deposits. Be smart. For peace of mind book with a professionally managed vacation rental provider such as Wyndham Vacation Rentals®. They offer the “Vacation Rental Bill of Rights®” service pledge ensuring quality standards. This includes vetted rentals with corresponding images (meaning, what you see online is what you’ll get upon check-in), accessible and comprehensive customer service and real-time bookings and payment.
