From A to Z, what are the characteristics of a solo travel girl? In my book she’s adventurous, awesome and an ambler!
Adventurous – She’s eager to try new experiences whether it’s conquering dining alone or navigating a complicated public transportation while traveling abroad. She’ll face her fears in order to check one off her bucket list and bring as bragging rights to holiday family gatherings.
Awesome – Well, let’s face it. Anyone willing to travel alone is Awesome with a capital A. Look at American aviator Amelia Earhart who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
An Ambler – She’s not one to sit still but enjoys ambling through new and familiar destinations, especially neighborhoods to learn how locals live. By hoofing it she’ll walk at her own pace and notice things around her she may have passed up if she was driving through.

You are so brave to travel alone- I’ve never done it but think it’s something I’ll need to experience at least once in my life. I’m itching to go somewhere new, this might be a good time. (I hopped over here from the A-Z challenge, I’m also blogging about my past travels- glad I found your blog)

I grew up in Europe and traveling at a young age was common there. Now my travels are mostly confined to the local area, although I moved about 850 miles last fall. Thanks for stopping by my blog,

Jealous! I would love to do more solo travelling, but family and finances forbid it at the moment. Maybe some day. In the meantime, I can live vicariously through you!

I am a solo female traveller, so I LOVE this post! I think ‘adventurous’ is a great “A” word to describe it. I would also add a description “Alone but never lonely” – whether it’s learning to be more comfortable in your own skin and with your own company, or meeting people along the way which is a lot easier when you are on your own. Looking forward to your next “A to Z” post!
I’m inspired! I’m ready to go on a traveling adventure! I’ve never been out of the USA except for Mexico. Dream of going to France, England and Italy.

loving your first post- I attempt to be as adventurous as I can, and travel has really brought that side out in me. I never really knew it was there before! 
Traveling solo…Wow! I’ve just hardly conquered the fear of driving to the grocery store by myself. However, I’ve also not ever had the choice of really being by myself, I got married when I was 19 (after getting my AA degree), and then my son was born just 2 years later, now with two more children, I revel in the idea of sleeping by myself
