Travel Gear Review: Never Drop Your Phone in Water Again with Loop

I remember it well. The day I dropped my phone in water, fished it out of the toilet bowl, placed it in nylons and then a bag of rice in an attempt to salvage it. Unfortunately, I had turned it on and fried it before dropping it in the bag of rice (electricity and water don’t mix, doh!). For the record, because I’m a classy woman, the phone was in my skirt pocket and made the plunge when I sat up; I was NOT using the phone while on the porcelain throne.

The Struggle is Real
Ever since, I’ve been very careful in preventing dropping my phone in water and dropping my phone in general because my phone is my life. I rarely use it to speak with people but use it to snap photos, text, message, email, social sharing, navigation, notetaking, light up the night, wake me up and beyond hence why I need the best unlimited cell phone data plans. The essentials of my life are in that little rectangular box and just like my shadow, it goes with me everywhere.

Unfortunately, although it’s the 21st century, it’s still difficult to find fashionable womenswear (specifically, dresses and skirts) that has pockets for carrying things such as phones. Yeah, I know, I can carry my phone in my purse but there are times when I just need it in my hand or a situation where it’s not appropriate or easy to carry a purse or bag.

Don’t Drop the Phone in the Water, Loop It!
But, ta-dah!!!!

From the “why didn’t I think of this?” department is the Loop. It’s a handy, fashionable and affordable strap to affix to your phone which allows you to carry it without worrying about dropping it.

There are two types of Loops, the Ninja Loop Phone Strap which allows you to carry your phone by affixing the strap to the back of the phone and looping your hand through so you can grip your phone and if you let go, you won’t drop your phone in the water or elsewhere. The Petite Loop Phone Strap is the other type which is a strap you affix to the back of your phone and can wear around your wrist.

I’ve been using my fashionable (Leopard print) Petite Loop Phone Strap for a couple of weeks and LOVE it! It’s been handy when I’ve taken the dog out, especially at night when I need a flashlight; on location in town while working and needed to have my phone handy to keep in touch with my coworkers and media; and to the beach where the Loop prevented me from dropping my phone in water.

I’ve tried the Ninja Loop Phone Strap too, in a colorful Summer color, which is blend of pinks, blues, yellows and purples, and also think it’s pretty nifty and useful. The Loops are affixed to the phones with an adhesive and seem to be pretty sturdy.

Loop: Perfect Travel Buddy
This is PERFECT for travel because I like keeping my phone accessible and usually have my hands full with my bags or travel documents. I can see where the Loop would help keep me sane because at least once, when my hands are full, I lose my phone by dropping or misplacing it.

How to Order the Loop
These useful phone straps start at $4.95 (plus shipping and tax) which make them affordable, so why not order a few? They make cute stocking stuffers or can be inserted inside a card and sent off to your favorite traveling friend or BFF. If you’re looking for a logo’d item for your organization or company, Loops can be customized, too, and how cool is that?

So yeah, the Loop is pretty fab! Check em out and get in the loop! Visit www.phoneloops.com.

Disclosure: I received complimentary product samples for review purposes however opinions are my own.
