How do I love ME? Let me count the ways with opens in a new windowWild Ophelia’s Valentine’s Day hearts filled with chocolate. Take an American road trip by checking out these flavors, New England Style Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Bites and Tart Cherry Caramel Milk Chocolate Bites. I don’t mean to be an alarmist but, hello?! Valentine’s Day is around the corner.
If you’re a singleton, like me, looking to buy yourself something nice and sweet to celebrate wonderful YOU, give these beauties a chance. Of course, if you do have a special someone in your life, they’d certainly appreciate these delicious chocolates.
Life is Better with Caramel
As I’ve opens in a new windowblogged before, Wild Ophelia works with American farmers and artisans to deliver high-quality, delicious and unique flavors. I have a weakness called caramel and guess what? The caramel is the company’s house recipe and is oh, so smooth.
The sweetness is a nice contrast with the Montmorency tart cherries which are sourced from the King Orchards family farm in Central Lake, Mich. (Cherry capital of the world.) and encased in smooth milk chocolate. If you’re envisioning these tasting like those chocolate-covered cherry candies that are popular at Christmas, stop it! These taste much, much better!
I’m all about savory flavors so the salted caramel dark chocolate bites tickle my fancy. Remember, dark chocolate is relatively good for you. Coastal Maine sea salt dried in the sun then hand-smoked over hickory wood is combined with the gooey caramel and hugged by dark chocolate. The flavors meld well together and I can taste the hint of salt. Mmm.
It’s All About Presentation
A dozen chocolates are placed in a chic and vibrant pink or red heart-shaped box accented with a lovely ribbon and Wild Ophelia badge. Each almond-shaped and walnut-sized chocolate bite sits in own pod rather than lumped together. I’m always impressed with overall presentation and the packaging is simple yet sophisticated.
Where to Find Wild Ophelia’s Valentine’s Day Chocolates
In addition to these hearts, a selection of Wild Ophelia’s signature chocolate bars are tucked in new Valentine’s Day packaging with “to” and “from” and hearts, making them ready and perfect for gifting. And yes, it’s okay to give one to yourself.
There’s no need to find a fancy chocolatier. These sophisticated chocolates are available at Walgreens. But, times a ticking.
These Valentine’s Hearts and Bars are only available for a limited time.
