What I’m going to write may shock some of you so take a deep breath and hang on. Prior to this week, I have never tasted a Tastykake®. Yes, I’m serious. This week was the first time I’ve ever sunk my teeth into this soft, sweet goodness and as soon as the chocolatey velvet tickled my taste buds, I realized what I’ve been missing.

Oops! This Tastykake Kandy Bar Kake was so irresistible, I couldn't resist taking a bite before photographing it!

Yum-ola! I received the S’mores Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kake in my Spring Fever VoxBox from Influenster in order to taste and review. There are two other flavors in this line of snack cakes, Peppermint and Peanut Butter but it was fate I was sent S’mores to taste – s’mores are in my top 10 – maybe top five – indulgent foods. It reminds me of sitting around the campfire with the family in the backyard when I was a kid and later in life, I have great Yellowstone memories with s’mores.

All gone! #TastyKake

Anyway, according to the product page on Influenster, “Kandy Bar Kakes are the best of both worlds. Light and fluffy chocolate enrobed cakes come in a unique kandy bar shape with a delicious créme filling made with your favorite candy flavors. Available in S’mores, Peppermint, and Peanut Butter flavor. Available at grocery and convenience stores across America.”

It’s almost like a rectangular cupcake! The individual packaging makes it great for tucking in my backpack for those unexpected delays during my travels.

Are you a Tastykake fan? Get me up to speed as to what I’ve been missing!
