“We only have a 7 to 14-day window,” the scheduling woman at the women’s imaging center told me, then added, “We’re going to have to postpone tomorrow.”
Yup, my MRI scheduled for tomorrow to remove me from this opens in a new windowpink limbo I’ve been hanging in since early October has been scrubbed. Perhaps I’m using this terminology because I have opens in a new windowNASA Tweetup on my mind but when she told me there’s a limited “window” all I kept thinking of was a rocket launching under optimum conditions. For instance, the opens in a new window launch window for the United Launch Alliance Atlas V carrying NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is one hour and 43 minutes and opens at 10:02 a.m. EST on Saturday, November 26. [Note: original launch date was Friday, Nov. 27]
Why is it postponed? Well, let’s just say my body has been under a lot of stress over the past couple of months which has thrown my biological system off and estrogen needs to be at its peak when the test is done. (Sorry guys for the female talk!)
And, I sincerely apologize for having not replied to those of you who commented on opens in a new windowthis post explaining what I’ve been going through. I hope to respond very soon!
Again, I’m continuing to stay cautiously optimistic and truly appreciate everyone’s concern and support.
