Ketchup changed mom Kasey Trenum’s life. During the inaugural opens in a new windowWomen Today expo in Estero, Fla., today, she shared how purchasing the condiment for 16 cents during a grocery store sale changed her family’s life for the better. You can find a great deal on something but what is the cost of what you’re giving up to get that 50 cents off? There’s a cost to dumpster-diving for coupons (which Trenum does not recommend).

Trenum travels the country offering couponing seminars but for those who aren’t able to attend can visit and subscribe to opens in a new to learn tricks of the trade including changing your mindset about couponing, how to get started, and how to use sales and coupon matchups at specific stores.

Also, All You Magazine is a great source for coupons and if purchased through opens in a new, $12 from a $30, two-year subscription will aide Tennessee tornado victims.

If you watched opens in a new windowNBC’s “The Voice” this year then certainly you know who 18-year-old opens in a new windowCasey Weston is. If not, the resident of Naples was a Top 8 Finalist on the popular television show and has since moved to Nashville to pursue her musical career. She’s a singer and songwriter and performed popular songs as well as original material to adoring fans. She’s the girl next door (no, not one of Hugh’s) but the girl who’s a strong role model for today’s youth.

But Wait, There Was More!

Admission into the Women Today expo was only $6 and the couponing presentation definitely paid for that and everything else was icing on the cake including a fun session with opens in a new windowDr. Lori, a nationally recognized antique appraiser with an awesome sense of humor, and the businesses and services who exhibited.

The event was held at opens in a new windowGermain Arena and kicked off Thursday, Sept. 29, with the Relish Magazine Cooking Show, followed with the expo on Friday, Sept. 30. I found the expo valuable and hope it continues to grow.
