Media frenzy is causing quite a stir in Florida lately. Tourism is our livelihood and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill is casting a dark cloud of negative attention over the Sunshine State. Vacationers are rethinking their vacation plans because of the “what if” scenario. “What if there is oil on the beach when I visit?”
Well, “What if” there is an earthquake, volcano, terrorism attack, chlorine leak, food poisoning, or… well, you get the idea. There’s no guarantee where someone travels for a vacation it will be glitch-free. That’s why there’s travel insurance.
For those not in the know or those who don’t believe it, as of today, there is no Deepwater Horizon oil on Florida beaches. Enjoy this slice of paradise taken at Englewood Beach on May 20, 2010.
