It’s true what they say about time passing quickly as we age. I’m not sure how I got to be old. I mean, I’m turning 40 in little more than a month. How’d that happen? Closer to home, it’s coming up on this blog’s first anniversary! Not sure what I’ll be doing for the blog to mark the occasion but will think of something.

I haven’t accomplished all I’ve wanted with this blog but I’m getting there. Earlier this year I was named one of the “101 Women Bloggers to Watch in 2010” by WE Magazine for Women, joined the opens in a new windowClever 1000, (you can join too!) and now I’m opens in a new windowRaveable!

In a nutshell, Raveable.com is a user-generated review site for travel and this blog will now feed into it. Perhaps this will encourage me to step up my game to upload the posts sitting in my brain.

She spent a decade with a park management company in Yellowstone, Death Valley, and Everglades National Parks. She founded the travel blog, SoloTravelGirl.com with the goal of inspiring others to travel alone, not lonely. The unexpected death of her former husband in 2008 reminded her how short life is. His passing was a catalyst for sharing her experiences with the goal of inspiring and empowering others to travel solo. When not traveling, she is either in the kitchen, practicing her photography skills, or road tripping with her dog, Radcliff.
