BIC® Tech 2-in-1 Stylus and Pen Writes and Glides So Nice!

BIC® Tech 2-in-1 Stylus and Pen Writes and Glides So Nice!

BIC is offering my readers a giveaway of a BIC® Tech 2-in-1 Stylus and Pen to FIVE of my reads, a value of $4.99 each. Being a writer I’m a pen snob and picky about my pens and I can honestly say I’ve really enjoyed using this for the past couple of weeks.

Crazy Pen Lady and Proud of It
How much of a pen snob am I? Ever since a family in Japan introduced me to gel pens, that’s all I’ve been using and purchasing since October 2004. What happens when someone asks to borrow my pen? In a typical situation they don’t return them, right? Unless I hand them a non-gel pen (you know, the kind you pick up at a hotel), I’ll keep an eye on the pen and when I see them try to slip it into their purse or pocket, I’ll politely ask for my pen. Yup, I’m the crazy pen lady and not ashamed to admit it.

Yeah, I know it’s the 21st century which means not only do I carry a pen(s) and notebook but I’m slowly making the migration to using my iPad for note-taking. After three years or so I haven’t mastered typing on an iPad but have found handy apps allowing me to write out what I’m thinking, observing or listening to.

Writes and Glides Nicely
This is where the Tech 2-in-1 Stylus and Pen by BIC comes in. Introduced in April 2013, this dual-purpose gadget is great for transitioning from paper to tablet with a flip and a click. I tried it out for two weeks by taking notes old school with the pen and with the stylus to navigate and take notes on my iPad and iPhone.

On one end is the retractable ballpoint pen writes very smooth, almost like a gel pen but without the possible smudging because the ink hasn’t dried. It has BIC’s Easy-Glide System® ink. The other end has a soft, round stylus that easily across my device’ glass screens.

My BIC Notes App is Available through iTunes or Google Play.

  1. I admit it…. I can’t resist the opportunity to win a free pen! I’m a pen snob myself. = ) I prefer printing! I do a combination of cursive and printing in my own writing. Love your blog, Jen! = )

  2. This pen sounds really awesome! AND there is absolutely nothing wrong with being the “Crazy Pen Lady”! I too feel the same way: when you find a pen you LOVE, you want to hold onto it as long as you can, until the last bit of ink rolls out of the ball, and onto the paper. Yes, shaking the pen up and down as hard as you can, to get the last tiny drop, (which doesn’t really work with gel pens!)

Any tool that makes your life easier … my answer is, yes please!

Good job BIC and thank you Solo Travel Girl for making me feel that I’m not alone about my favorite writing utensils.

  3. I like print

  4. I too love cursive! Sadly it’s not around very much 🙁

  5. I like to print but do both!!

  6. Forgot to say which pen I prefer – hmmm… I like both, but if I have to choose… cursive. Will give me a chance to practice my writing, it’s changed drastically since I use computers majority of the time. 🙂 ( you don’t have to print this one on your comment section!)

  7. These new pens look very cool and unique.. I think I prefer cursive writing if I a doing the writing but I think print is easier to read…

  8. I print everything.

  9. I like cursive to write, but print to view, ESPECIALLY when grading students’ papers!

  10. I remember when printing was frowned upon. I love the look of cursive and mix it with printing. Solo Travel Girl – you may want to invest in a pocket protector!!

Thanks for info about the apps. I was thinking of getting a keyboard for my iPad, but maybe this is a better option.

  11. Jen, it’s been so long since I wrote cursive that I am not sure I remember how! Especially since my drafting courses I took in college over40 years ago. But, I still do sign my name in cursive!

  12. I taught curisive writing and deserve a pen. Good reason to make me one of the random winners!
    And I’m your Dad!

  13. I prefer to write in cursive, it’s so much prettier and shows more of your personality! Pens are golden in this house.

  14. It’s better than being a Crazy Cat Lady! Nom de plumes unite and get in on this styling offer!

  15. I like cursive, but find that I switch to print sometimes. Pens always have a way of disappearing, particularly at work!

  16. I didn’t win?
I thought the fix was in!
    I’m giving up writing!
