Y’all obviously know I’m crazy about travel and politics which makes me very excited to share how Captain Obvious is stepping into the race for president. Just when you thought the election year was whackadoo enough, the King of Obvious Commentary is running for president the only way he knows how. While other presidential candidates are crisscrossing the country in buses decked out with their political message, Captain Obvious will be lacing on running shoes and hitting the pavement. Literally. He’s physically running.
During his ala Forest Gump journey across the 50 U.S. States and during the 2016 presidential race, Captain Obvious will be sharing witty, relevant commentary daily on his Twitter account. I’m looking forward to his commentary as he live tweets during the presidential debates. Follow @CaptainObvious and #ObviousPresident during his journey and don’t miss his profound observations as:
The “500” in the Daytona 500 means the race is 500 miles long. That is too long.
#IveGrownAccustomedTo oxygen. I wouldn’t want to live without it.
A little bird didn’t tell you anything, because birds don’t speak. They chirp.
In this race for president, is Captain Obvious being backed by a Super PAC? As far as I know, Hotels.com is Captain Obvious’ biggest backer and they’ll be with him along the way. It’s my understanding they’ll be providing him with proper running shoes, socks, sporty shorts and anything else he may need for a long run in the presidential race.
Because I appreciate smart humor, you’ve GOT to check out the Captain Obvious Race for President Announcement Video:
